Summary

Puthod's 17th Division was trapped against the flooded river Bober by the Russian VI Corps and I Cavalry Corps. Massively outnumbered and lacking the means or position to resist the cavalry they were cut to pieces. General Puthod, a hundred officers and 3,000 men were captured. The division ceased to exist.

A village in western Poland on the river Bober [Bóbr] about 40 miles southwest of Glogau. (Poland)
