XV Corps, 7th & 17th Divs. Secured Quadrangle Trench and Shelter Alley. 23rd Div of lll Corps gained Horseshoe Trench and west end of Lincoln Redoubt after a full days fighting including resisting fierce German counter attacks. X Corps, 25th Div. gained part of Hindenburg Trench and improved their grip on the Leipzig Salient.
