Summary

Prussia had joined the Third coalition too lets to be an effective partner but was punished by Napoleon. This fomented unrest and a coalition against France was formed between three major power Russia, Prussia and Great Britain. Sweden and Saxony also joined the alliance. Napoleon's Jena-Auerstädt campaong effectively removed Prussia from the war. France had a set back at Eylau but was victorious at Friedland. Peace treaties were signed with Russia [7 July 1807] and Prussia [9 July]. This left Britain as the only major Eurpoean power opposing Napoleon.
