Summary

The French bridgehead on the 'Russian' side of the river was attacked as part of the Russian pre-emptive strike against Napoleon. The Russians were successful in driving the French out of the bridgehead but were in turn unable to cross the river as was their intended action.

A village in East Prussia [now Poland] on the river Passarge [now Pasleka] about 4 miles northeast of Liebstadt. (Poland)
