History at Murton event 2008

A small, multi-period living history event held at the Yorkshire Museum of Farming, Murton Park, near York. It was well attended by several groups ranging from Boer War re-enactors to the Spanish Civil War and the Second World War to the Falklands War.
Particularly effective was a layout from re-enactors of the WW2 Russian 13th Guards who occupied the replica Bronze Age village at the museum which looked remarkably like a Russian peasant village.

This event is intended to be annual and is growing, year on year. It's well worth a visit if you're in the area, see
the Murton Park website at www.murtonpark.co.uk for more details.
